Brief Description

This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in Business Administration while gaining valuable experience within a busy Buying Department in the Groundworks Construction Industry. As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will provide day-to-day administrative support across the business, with a particular focus on Buying.

Training to be Provided

We host supporting workshops regularly throughout the apprenticeship which you will attend in person at our designated training site/campus. These workshops are carefully designed to support the learning required throughout the apprenticeship programme.


You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.


You will experience a blended learning model.

Future Prospects

Successful completion of the Business Administration Apprenticeship will provide the opportunity to progress onto a CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) Apprenticeship, allowing you to develop a specialist career in procurement and supply chain management with recognised professional qualifications.

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Buying Department.

  • Shadow Senior Buyers to gain an understanding of procurement processes, including obtaining quotations, sourcing materials and placing orders based on completed take-offs.

  • Assist with general administrative duties including document management, filing, data entry and maintaining project records.

  • Develop an understanding of supplier relationships and material procurement within the construction industry.

  • Spend time within the Health & Safety Department to gain knowledge of basic construction health and safety legislation, company procedures and site compliance requirements.

  • Support the wider business with administrative tasks as required.
