Brief Description

As an Administration Apprentice at the Teaching School Hub the postholder will be an integral support to the Administration and TSH Team, reporting directly to the TSH Director. The postholder must be IT literate and possess a confident telephone manner and the ability to multi-task. 

Training to be Provided


  • Business administration Level 3 in Education Apprenticeship delivered by United Apprenticeships

  • The apprenticeship should typically take 15 months to complete, with the final assessment taking up to 12 weeks

  • It will be delivered by monthly live online workshops and a couple of in-person days that will give you the opportunity to build your confidence and learn alongside peers

  • You will complete a mix of on-the-job and off-the-job learning in the workplace (approx. 6.5 hours per week)

  • By the end of the programme, you will hold a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification that supports your role and future learning or career progression

  • This role could lead to a full time role in school support administration

  • As the role is also developing social media presence and maintaining the TSH media platforms, the person completing this apprenticeship could also look at marketing/media roles as future career opportunities

Vacancy Detail


  • The role is to work alongside the current TSH Administration Team and learn all aspects of administration and the Hub whilst working in a busy environment

  • Invaluable experience will be gained within the Administration areas of the school whilst working towards an Apprenticeship

  • Liaison with all required stakeholders is essential for the role, therefore, the post holder will receive training in this area but it is expected that they demonstrate exemplary customer service.

  • This exciting role will be responsible for updating and maintaining the TSH website and social media sites as well as collating information for the TSH newsletter (training will be provided)

  • In addition, the person in this role will assist in general administration tasks such as maintaining records, answering the phone, emails and mail merges

  • The successful candidate will also support with the planning and running of TSH events such as Early Career Teachers conferences
