Brief Description
The Engineering Tutor Assessor (Trainee) will develop into a highly skilled apprenticeship tutor and assessor specialising in engineering programmes.
You will receive structured training, mentoring and professional qualifications while supporting apprentices throughout their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning
- Support the delivery of engineering and motor vehicle apprenticeship programmes
- Deliver classroom, workshop, online and workplace-based training
- Prepare engaging learning sessions and practical demonstrations
- Support learners to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours
- Deliver Functional Skills support where appropriate
- Adapt teaching to meet individual learner needs
Assessment
- Carry out workplace assessments
- Observe apprentices in the workplace
- Review portfolio evidence
- Complete progress reviews
- Assess assignments
- Support apprentices towards Gateway and End-Point Assessment
- Maintain accurate assessment records
- Learner Support
- Build positive relationships with apprentices
- Motivate learners to achieve
- Identify learners requiring additional support
- Promote safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and wellbeing
- Support learner attendance and engagement
Employer Engagement
- Visit employers regularly
- Build positive working relationships
- Provide progress updates
- Support workforce development discussions
- Promote ESTAR's high standards of customer service
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain compliant learner records
- Follow apprenticeship funding rules
- Participate in standardisation meetings
- Participate in observations of teaching and learning
- Contribute towards quality improvement activities
- Support Ofsted inspections and internal audits
