Brief Description
- Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship. A great opportunity to train with a well-established painting and decorating firm in Bristol, who put apprentices at the heart of their recruitment policy
- Working alongside experience personnel, you will learn all aspects of the trade
Training to be Provided
- Painter and Decorator Level 2
- Block college release one week in four at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College Construction campus in Filton, Bristol
- Site based evidence gathering
- Job reports
- Off the job learning

- Working with new surfaces
- Working with pre-decorated surfaces
- Removal of previous coatings and wall coverings with different methods
- Traditional and modern methods of making good surfaces
- Systems for metals, wood, plastic and factory finishes
- Application of brush
- Application of roller
- Application of pressure roller
- Spray application
- Specialist decorative techniques - graining, marbling, gilding
- Removal and application of wall coverings
Other Information
The successful applicant will either be driving or at the very least, have a driving test booked.
