  • Working Week: 30 hours per week, including paid time for training. Typical working pattern will include some Saturdays and one late evening, with exact hours agreed to suit salon and college requirements.

Brief Description

Join Maxine Morgan Hair Salon as a Hairdressing Apprentice, learning cutting, colouring and styling in a busy, creative salon. Train towards the Level 2 Hairdressing Professional standard with high quality support and real client experience.

Training to be Provided


  • Training will also involve attending day release at City of Wolverhampton College

Future Prospects

On successful completion of the Level 2 Hairdressing Professional apprenticeship, you will be a fully qualified stylist able to work independently within the salon. Progression may include a Level 3 Advanced and Creative Hair Professional apprenticeship, specialist colour or cutting roles, or senior stylist positions as you develop experience and build your client base.

  • Assisting stylists with shampooing, conditioning and blow drying, ensuring every client receives excellent service

  • Supporting colour and cutting services, including mixing colour, preparing clients and learning core cutting techniques under supervision

  • Maintaining salon standards by keeping work areas clean, managing towels and equipment, and helping with reception tasks such as greeting clients and offering refreshments

  • Attending training sessions to develop skills in cutting, colouring, styling and client consultation, building a portfolio of work in line with the apprenticeship standard

Hairdressing is a hands on, physically active career that involves working on your feet, keeping the salon immaculate and caring for clients throughout their visit. You will be expected to practise regularly, attend all training sessions and be open to feedback, as this is how you will grow quickly into a confident stylist within our brand.
