Brief Description
St John Plessington Catholic College is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic ICT Apprentice to join its friendly IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy school, supporting staff and students with a wide range of technology while working towards a nationally recognised ICT qualification.

Vacancy Detail
- Logging and tracking support tickets, including all phone calls.
- Escalating unresolved or more complex issues to the second line technician.
- Working with the HR/data team to ensure that only appropriate accounts are active on both the local network and cloud services.
- Monitoring web filtering, anti-virus, and any additional monitoring software that does not conflict with safeguarding procedures.
- Maintaining the school’s wired and wireless network and ensuring they are only available to authorized users.
- Conducting regular audits and health checks of on-site resources.
- Handling more complex issues, such as software installations, hardware faults, and system/server configuration problems.
