Working Week: Any 5 days from 7 flexible shifts, but likely to be days whilst training - shifts can be days, backs or nights. (Fewer days are available on request).

Future Prospects
If successful at class 2 licence, salary will increase + overtime and will pay for class 1 and if successful, potential to be kept on permanently on HGV salary.
Vacancy Detail
· To collect and deliver customers goods in line with company and customer requirements safely and securely.
· Accurately complete relevant paperwork as required in line with company procedures.
· Ensure that vehicles are fuelled and left secure at the end of each shift.
· Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and defects reported.
· Maintaining the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition.
· To accurately check product when loading / unloading to ensure nil discrepancies.
· Ensures that tachograph use is correct, and card downloaded daily in accordance with legislation.
· To provide a high level of internal and external customer care, including the use of Company vehicles.
· Driving company vehicles in a safe and proper manner in accordance with the Department of Transport and current driver legislation.
· Comply and act in accordance with the Whistl Driver’s handbook.
· Carry out any other relevant duties as requested by the Line Manager to ensure the effective performance of the depot operation.
· Reporting of any accident, breakdown, or emergency in line with divisional policy.
· Responsible for maintaining and complying with company Health and Safety standards thereby minimising the risk to yourself and other persons.
· To undertake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company’s commitment to the Investor in People standard.
