Brief Description
At Asahi you will learn all aspects of plant and equipment maintenance. You will be trained to work safely across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The role exists to build a pipeline of skilled maintenance engineers who keep Asahi plant and equipment running safely and efficiently and supporting the wider Engineering team.
Training to be Provided
Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x1 day per week at Uxbridge Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will be required to complete:
- Work towards gaining a full Qualification
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities
- Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours
- Standard and End Point Assessment
Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role.
Future Prospects
On successful completion, the intention is for the apprentice to progress into a fully qualified Maintenance Engineer role.
Vacancy Detail
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining all plant, machinery and production equipment to ensure safe, continual and efficient operation
- Support periodic and preventive maintenance regimes across the site
- Assist with emergency troubleshooting, fault-finding and breakdown maintenance support
- Help achieve maintenance goals, activity scheduling and work completion to support production targets
- Keep accurate, auditable records of maintenance activity on paper and electronic systems
- Work with engineers and technicians to identify and implement improvements to plant and process
- Where required, liaise with suppliers and specialist contractors to help diagnose machine faults and identify spare parts or service requirements
- Follow all Asahi health and safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents promptly
- Support and participate in site safety initiatives, continuous improvement activities
- Attend college to complete the theoretical and technical elements of the apprenticeship, working towards a recognised engineering maintenance qualification
- Carry out reasonable additional duties as directed by your supervisor or the Engineering Department
Other Information
Due to the nature of the business environment, producing alcoholic drinks, the applicant must be over the age of 18. You must be comfortable to work in this environment. There will be shift work involved. Must be able to demonstrate genuine interest in a career in engineering maintenance. Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
