Brief Description
Puddleduck Nursery is offering an exciting Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship. Gain hands-on experience in our Baby Room, working alongside supportive and experienced staff. Learn daily nursery routines, develop valuable skills, and receive off-the-job training, college support, and assessor guidance to achieve your qualification.
Future Prospects
Progression onto the level 3 and short courses that interest them. For example, maths with children or baby sensory.
Vacancy Detail
- Support children during free play and planned activities
- Read stories, sing song and play action games
- Help the children outside in the mud kitchen and the balancing equipment
- Get to know each child and build trusting bonds with them and their parents
Other Information
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Physical fitness – lots of bending, lifting, sitting on the floor, being active
- Good health – frequent contact with coughs, colds, and other illnesses
- Right to work in the UK
- Some settings ask for a paediatric first aid certificate, though many will support you to get this during the apprenticeship
