Brief Description

Supporting assembly tasks involving mechanical components, the apprenticeship is designed to build future capability and succession within the production team. The successful apprentices will rotate through relevant work areas, follow structured training plans, and progressively take on more responsibility as competence grows.​ 

Training to be Provided

This is a Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship, Mechanical pathway, delivered over a period of 15 months.


The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Telford TF3 3AG, 1 day per week for the first year, and the company for the rest of the time accompanied by assessor visits.

Future Prospects

You will be a qualified mechanical engineering operator.

  • Support assembly tasks involving mechanical components, brackets, panels, fasteners, wiring, basic electrical sub-assemblies and final fit-up operations

  • Use hand tools and simple production equipment safely and correctly, escalating issues where parts, tools or instructions are unclear

  • Follow work instructions, drawings and inspection requirements to help ensure parts are made right first time

  • Identify obvious defects, damage, shortages or process issues and report them promptly to the supervisor or trainer

  • Work safely at all times, follow risk assessments, PPE requirements, machine controls and company safety procedures

  • Work positively with Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse and other teams to support delivery, quality and customer service
