Brief Description
The RAC, with S&B Automotive Academy, offers Apprentice Mobile Mechanic opportunities across the UK. Gain practical skills, industry experience and a recognised qualification while earning. Train in servicing, diagnostics and repairs, delivering expert support to customers as part of the RAC's trusted mobile maintenance team.
Training to be Provided
You will undertake the Level 2 Autocare Technician Apprenticeship delivered by S&B Automotive Academy. Training includes structured block release sessions at S&B’s Training Academy in Bristol combined with on-the-job learning. You will be supported throughout by the RAC Academy Team and Workplace Mentor and an S&B Development Coach. Progress is tracked using a digital Logbook, and you will complete gateway assessments followed by an End-Point Assessment.

Vacancy Detail
- Complete vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and safety checks at customer locations, including homes and workplaces
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to support accurate fault finding
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining work carried out
- Manage daily job schedules, tools, and vehicle stock
- Work under the guidance of an experienced RAC Team while developing independence in the role
Other Information
Be aged 18 or over
Hold a full UK (manual) driving licence with a maximum of three penalty points
Have GCSE English and maths at Grade 4/C or above (desirable)
Be willing to travel and complete training in Bristol during block release periods
