Brief Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join a friendly organisation in the heart of Walsall. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in art, graphic design, and the print industry.  Applicants should be computer literate and have a strong understanding of social media platforms.

Training to be Provided

Business Administrator Level 3.


An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.

Duties:



  • Provide administrative support across all areas of the business, including answering calls, responding to emails, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records

  • Assist customers with enquiries, quotations, artwork submissions, and order updates in a professional and friendly manner

  • Create and prepare artwork for print using graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

  • Edit, proof, and resize customer artwork to ensure files meet print specifications and quality standards

  • Operate computer systems and maintain organised digital filing for customer jobs, designs, and production schedules

  • Support the production team by preparing print-ready files and liaising with colleagues to meet deadlines

  • Manage and update company social media platforms and contribute to marketing activities where required

  • Assist with stock control, ordering supplies, and general office organisation

  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when checking designs, spelling, layouts, and print finishes

  • Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, processes, and equipment within the print and design industry

  • Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues while delivering excellent customer service

  • Support day-to-day business operations and take on additional responsibilities as the role develops

  • Maintain a professional attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to producing high-quality work at all times
