Brief Description
Start your career in property maintenance with Cheltenham Borough Council. You’ll learn a range of practical trades, including carpentry, bricklaying and roofing, while working alongside experienced colleagues. You’ll combine hands-on experience with one day a week at Gloucestershire College.

Vacancy Detail
- Work alongside an experienced mentor to carry out repairs and maintenance in domestic properties
- Learn and develop practical skills across carpentry, bricklaying and roofing repairs
- Help identify faults and learn how to choose the right approach to repairs
- Support larger projects, including kitchen fitting and the installation of fire-rated doors
- Learn to complete work safely, efficiently and to a high-quality standard, providing a good service to our customers
- Attend Gloucestershire College one day per week during term time and complete the learning required for your apprenticeship
