Brief Description
Are you looking to start your career in Early Years? At Humpty Dumptys Nursery we’re looking for an Apprentice to join our team. Humpty Dumpty’s provides a stimulating home from home environment, surrounded by open space and woodland and a spacious natural garden.
Qualifications Required
Previous Level 2 desirable
GCSE passes in Maths and English
Some previous childcare knowledge or experience
Personal Qualities

Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

As a Nursery Apprentice, you will be expected to provide the highest standard of care and education while gaining hands-on experience in a high-quality childcare setting and working towards recognised childcare qualifications. Your responsibilities will include:
• To nurture an environment in which children are encouraged in their all round development and where high standards of care are provided.
• To take responsibility for the safety, security and well-being of all the children in your care.
• To adhere to all company Policies and Procedures at all times.
• To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snacks meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role
