Training to be Provided
The apprentice will receive full on-the-job training, off-the-job training and a full wrap around service from SCL. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.

Everyone Active is currently seeking an ambitious and self-motivated Individual to take on this role and who is ready to embrace our brand mission of 30 minutes of activity 5 times a week.

We need an Apprentice Recreation Assistant who will…
- Want to learn to be an effective communicator with other team members
- Be part of a motivated team fully embracing our company values

- Want to ensure high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained within the centre
- Ensure equipment setups are completed safely and on time
- National Pool Lifeguard qualification will be gained during the course so you’ll need to be able to swim to a competent level. You’ll also achieve a swimming teacher and fitness qualification.
This position will involve day, evening and weekend work, including public holidays, and requires an enhanced DBS check which we will complete before you start.

Other Information
If invited to interview, you’ll need to complete a swim test and demonstrate the following:
- Jump or dive into deep water
- Swim 50 metres in no more than 60 seconds
- Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water, then tread water for 30 seconds
You will work as part of a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the leisure centre. Supervise poolside activities and always ensure customer safety. Assist in the setup and delivery of fitness classes and group activity sessions. Provide excellent customer service to all members and visitors. Maintain cleanliness and operational standards across all facilities and support the reception and administration teams when required.
