Brief Description
Our Personal Lines and Commercial team help individuals, families and local businesses find insurance that protects the things that matter most to them.
As an apprentice, you’ll step into one of our client-facing insurance teams and learn how we support clients throughout their insurance journey.
Training to be Provided
Insurance Practitioner Level 3.
Future Prospects
Our apprentices join Howden on permanent contracts from day one. After successfully completing the 18-month programme, you'll transition out of the apprenticeship and continue developing your skills, expertise and career within your chosen area of the business.

- Learn the foundations of insurance, customer service and sales through hands-on experience and structured training
- Support colleagues in finding suitable insurance solutions for new and existing clients
- Develop your written communication skills by preparing professional client correspondence
- Build confidence speaking with clients and insurers, helping to answer queries and gather information, both via email and during phone calls
- Learn how to build long-term relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Support with maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
- Learn how amendments to insurance policies are managed as well as the policy renewals process
