Brief Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Apprentice to join the Dixon Lewis Partnership in Gateshead. You’ll work in a close-knit team where your contributions will be noticed and rewarded, with a genuine route to progress to Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, and Accountant in the future.
Training to be Provided
- Accounts Level 2 apprenticeship
- Fully funded AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, to progress to AAT Level 3 and beyond
- Protected study time during working hours
- A named mentor and regular reviews of your progress
- Exposure to bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, accounts and tax, so you build a broad foundation

A genuine route to progress into a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant or Accountant role as you qualify - A real stake in the firm's success, with the chance to grow your career as we grow.
Vacancy Detail
- Process bookkeeping transactions in accounting software, including bank reconciliations and invoice coding
- Help prepare VAT returns under the guidance of the team
- Support payroll processing and related admin
- Prepare and organise paperwork for year-end accounts and tax work
- Provide day-to-day client support, answering queries by phone and email and chasing information where appropriate
- Keep client records, documents, and files accurate and up to date
General office and practice administration - Learn our systems and processes, and suggest better ways of doing things as you go
- Work towards your AAT qualification, applying what you learn to live client work

Please make sure that you can travel to the employer for your dedicated start time and also to Team Valley once per week for your face-to-face day release sessions.
