Vacancy Detail

What will you actually be doing?

This isn’t an apprenticeship where you’ll spend your day making cups of tea or doing the odd bit of filing.

You’ll be getting hands-on experience in a busy recruitment business, learning how the industry works and playing a real part in helping us grow.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Finding great candidates - Using job boards, LinkedIn and our recruitment systems to find people looking for their next opportunity
  • Creating professional CVs - Preparing and formatting candidate CVs ready to send to employers
  • Matching candidates to jobs - Finding the right opportunities for candidates based on their experience, qualifications, salary expectations and location, ideally within an hour’s travel of the home
  • Finding new vacancies - Researching children’s residential homes, identifying who’s recruiting and finding new opportunities for our candidates
  • Marketing our candidates - Putting together emails showcasing the candidates we’ve registered that week and introducing them to relevant employers
  • Building our database - Keeping our recruitment systems organised, accurate and up to date
  • Speaking to candidates and clients - Building relationships, gathering information and developing your confidence on the phone

You’ll learn the full recruitment process, from finding someone looking for work right through to helping them secure their next role.

What we are looking for?

We’re not expecting you to know everything. That’s what the apprenticeship is for!

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive attitude and genuinely wants to learn
  • Is confident, friendly and enjoys speaking to people
  • Is organised and pays attention to detail
  • Is comfortable using computers and learning new technology
  • Can communicate clearly and write a good email
  • Has a bit of initiative and can think for themselves
  • Is motivated, reliable and willing to put the effort in
  • Enjoys working towards goals and seeing the results
  • Wants to develop their skills and build a proper career

We don’t care if you’ve never worked in an office before. If you’ve got the right attitude and you’re willing to work hard, we want to hear from you.
