Brief Description
Join White Horse, a welcoming restaurant and bar serving fresh, locally sourced food. As an Apprentice Commis Chef, you’ll learn food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety and kitchen operations while working alongside experienced chefs. A fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a career in hospitality.
Training to be Provided
- The successful candidate will work towards achieving their Apprenticeship Standard in Commis Chef Level 2.
- A dedicated work-based trainer will be assigned to the candidate to provide them with support and guidance throughout the course.
- This is a work-based programme with college attendance required once a month. All learning will take place at the candidate's place of employment/College and within their contracted working hours.

Potential full time position.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Helping in the preparation of all dishes
- Kitchen tasks: peeling, storing, cleaning, preparing
- Learning how to present dishes
- Making stocks, soups and sauces
- Fridge management
- Receiving and storing provisions
- All cleaning tasks
