Brief Description
This vacancy is for an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer (Mechatronics) based in Preston.
Mechatronics Maintenance Technicians ensure that plant and equipment perform to the required standard to facilitate production targets regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost within High Value Manufacturing environments.

Vacancy Detail
An Engineering Maintenance Technician requires the application of a complex blend of skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours across the electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems disciplines.
The main responsibilities of an Engineering Maintenance Technician are:
- Maintaining machinery and equipment.
- Trouble shooting issues to maintain productivity.
- Repairing faults in machinery and equipment.
DFJ Automotive was established in 1992 and is a family-owned United Kingdom registered business. Our background is in manufacturing heavy duty starter motors and alternators for industrial applications including Trucks, Buses, Industrial engines, Plant, Military and Marine.
DFJ can supply all major brands, and we have options of original equipment OE, replacement and remanufactured products.
We independently import products from around the world and supply to 125 different countries.
DFJ Automotive are an expanding supplier of Heavy-Duty starter motors and alternators.
We are seeking a new apprentice who can train to rebuild these types of products. An interest in engineering is a necessity, and you must be enthusiastic and motivated and be able to work as part of a team as well as on you own.
You may be studying engineering at college now this would be an advantage but not a necessity.
Full training will be given. You must be able to get to our place of work (Preston PR2).
