Brief Description
The apprentice will deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. The successful candidate will ensure that the preschool nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others. The apprentice will also develop positive partnerships with parents/carers.
Training to be Provided
- Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional Skills maths and English (if required)
- Work-based learning
- Training schedule has yet to be agreed upon, further details will be made available at a later date
Future Prospects
- At the end of the apprentice programme, you could be offered a permanent position in our nursery or a new training qualification
Vacancy Detail
- The apprentice will be working alongside an experienced staff member
- Use play to support children & to understand and encourage healthy life choices
- Providing care for children, including washing, changing, and feeding. This should be done in a respectful way that's appropriate for the child's needs, stage of development, and dignity
- Planning and carrying out learning programs for children, such as activities, reading, and educational games. These programs should be appropriate for the children's needs and developmental stage
- Work in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of each child in line with company policies and procedures
- Working as part of a team, attending meetings, and sharing ideas.
- Supporting all staff and engaging in a good team spirit
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures, and ensuring child welfare, protection, health, safety, and safeguarding policies are followed
