Brief Description

Our client, based in Brighton (BN1) are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join their growing team.They are an international IT consulting company that helps businesses with everything from setting up cloud services (like Microsoft 365 and Azure), improving cybersecurity, Networking, and managing digital workplaces.

Qualifications Required

GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification)

Personal Qualities

Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
A basic understanding of networking is helpful
Some experience with Microsoft products (Windows, Teams, Intune, Office 365) is a bonus

Duties Include:

• Providing internal technical support for Simplex Services including server, desktop, and networking infrastructure.
• Working with External clients sometimes on their premises to help with Networks, Internet and Site Surveys.
• Building PCs, Installation of Operating Systems and peripherals for internal and external customers
• Building strong working relationships with stakeholders (internal teams and external customers / third parties)
• Recording all calls to ensure accurate information about the client’s systems is maintained and available to other team members and account managers.
• Escalating issues in line with guidance and working with other support staff to build knowledge and skills required for all sites supported.
• Complying with all working practices relating to the customer site.
• Building strong relationships with customer account managers
• Having a proactive approach to customer IT systems to ensure future problems are avoided and the longer-term development of the customer IT systems is considered.
• Consult users on customer sites who have high expectations and liaise with your team/line manager.
• You will use platforms like CISCO, Aruba and Juniper.

Other Information

Important: You’ll need your own transport to travel to customer sites across Brighton.
