Working Week: Hours 8.30am to 4.30pm, 1st week 4 days and 2nd week 6 days to include the weekend.
Brief Description
Karen and her daughter have a small team of competition horses, doing eventing, dressage and TREC, they are looking for a new apprentice groom to give 5* care to their fabulous horses.
Training to be Provided
- Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship Standard
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
Future Prospects
- Progress to the Level 3 senior groom
- And or full-time employment
Vacancy Detail
All general yard duties to include:
- Mucking out, sweeping yard
- Filling haynets / water buckets
- Turning horses in and out / rugging up
- Grooming at shows
- Riding / exercise for the right candidate
Other Information
This location is not accessible by public transport and is aimed at applicants 18 and over as there will be occasions where the apprentice will need to be left alone at the yard.
