  • Working Week: Shift patterns are flexible. Weekdays and weekends required. Full or part time hours consist of 7.00am - 2.00pm or 2.00pm - 9.00pm. We also offer 6.00pm - 9.00pm. 30 to 40 hours per week.

Training to be Provided


  • The apprentice will be working towards the Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard including the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Care.

  • Apprentices will receive 1-to-1 tutor support from an assessor with tuition arranged on an individual basis.

Future Prospects

Future prospects include developing skills to work towards a more senior role within Woodlands, such as being able to administer medication and liaise with Drs and other visiting healthcare professionals. Other prospects include a career in nursing or a specialist field within the private sector, or the NHS.

Day to day duties include, but are not limited to the following;



  • Support ladies in all aspects of their daily lives, with a happy, calm, patient and kind approach.

  • Ensuring ladies wishes and preferences are always taken into consideration and that their daily choices are always respected.

  • Support ladies to maintain relationships and friendships within their local community and encourage new connections.

  • Ensure care plans are inclusive and contain significant background history and daily lifestyle choices and preferences.

  • Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer of any changes in their health care needs.

  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of ladies at all times.

Other Information

You will be based at the same address during your working day, in homely surroundings. You will not be expected to travel.
