Brief Description
Are you passionate about childcare and supporting children aged 0–5, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that supports the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The apprentice will work as part of a team to promote each child’s development, wellbeing, and individual learning journey.
Qualifications Required
• Wanting to embark on Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
• English and Maths GCSE

Training to be Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.

• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain a safe environment through risk assessments, supervision, and adherence to policies.
• Support children with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner.

• Share information about children’s progress, wellbeing, and daily experiences.
• Support the settling-in process, offering reassurance and continuity of care.
