Working Week: Your contracted hours each week throughout your apprenticeship will be 39 hours Monday - Friday.
Brief Description
The role will focus on operational excellence and elevated levels of customer service with an additional focus on continuous improvement. This is 18-months rotation programme with 6-months in each of Financial Shared Services Center service lines (this may vary based on business needs and apprenticeship length).
Training to be Provided
Assistant Accountant Level 3.
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your apprenticeship with your external training provider. You will be given 20% off the job hours, this will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively.
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of the programme - and subject to performance - you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the team or business area where you completed your apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
- Finance Apprentice is responsible for delivery of consistent, streamlined, global Procure to Pay processes
- Processing purchase invoices, including workflow management for queries and approvals, statement reconciliations, payment runs, and vendor/site query management
- Bank statement downloads, cash posting in SAP, invoicing support, reporting, collections, dispute resolution, and coordination with site representatives
- Balance sheet and bank reconciliations, VAT returns, intercompany, and fixed asset/depreciation reconciliations
- Involved in stakeholder meetings to resolve disputes and build strong relationships, carrying out root cause analysis to prevent future vendor issues
Other Information
Be at least 16 years of age when starting this apprenticeship. Have the right to work in the UK.
Have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least the past three years prior to starting the apprenticeship.
Have completed full-time education before the apprenticeship is due to start. For this programme, you must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance.
