Brief Description
Join Johnson Controls and dive into the world of building management system technology! We’re talking all the complex software and hardware that controls the electrical and mechanical systems within a building. These systems control lighting, security, fire safety, HVAC and can help reduce emissions and increase efficiency.
Training to be Provided
- You will be enrolled on a level Level 3 Project Controls technician qualification
- You will have weekly remote day release to attend your college requirements with other JCI apprentices
Future Prospects
- Upon completion, a number of internal engineering opportunities within the company will be available to you
- All of our apprentices immediately move into full time permanent positions
Vacancy Detail
- You'll deliver BMS projects for industrial, commercial, and residential market
- Consulting with clients to enhance their buildings, reduce running costs and emissions, and improve overall performance
- You'll gain a solid understanding of the main areas our systems interact with, including HVAC controls, Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Services Systems
- Your mentor will guide you in fundamental BMS engineering principles, teaching you innovative methods to lower energy costs, reduce emissions, and improve building efficiency
- You'll create detailed project plans and for various systems, ensuring compliance with industry and legislative standards
- Visit a wide variety of customer’s sites and businesses — no two days are the same! You must be a confident driver
Other Information
You will be based out of our Birmingham office however customer visits will be required all over the UK specially in the North and Midlands area. You need to be flexible to travel and stay away from home.
