Brief Description

Produce technical drawings using AutoCAD software. Use drainage design software. Produce drainage calculations. Use 3D design software. Make applications and liaise with local authorities and statutory bodies. Attend site/office meetings. Communicate with other team members, clients and authorities.

Training to be Provided

You will achieve an Institute of Civil Engineers accredited BEng or BSc (Hons) Civil Engineer qualification. You’ll study using Coventry University’s modern learning environment, and supported by our highly experienced tutors. You will have access to our comprehensive library and other fantastic student support services.
Upon completion of the degree you will undertake the ICE Assessment of Professional Competence leading to registration with the ICE as an Incorporated Engineer.

Future Prospects

Once qualified you will work towards becoming a Chartered Civil Engineer. You can look forward to developing into a Senior Engineer role, specialising in Residential and Highway design.

  • Producing hydraulic drainage models using Causeway Flow software. Preparing drainage calculations

  • Produce road and sewer alignments and create earthworks designs using PDS software

  • Attend site meetings

  • Communicate with other team members, clients, authorities and site engineers
