Brief Description

Timbertree Neighbourhood Nursery are looking for a new Nursery Assistant Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Educator apprenticeship Level 3.

Vacancy Detail

This is an exciting opportunity to gain further experience while working towards a Level 3 qualification. You will work alongside a team of experienced staff in our baby room, who will support you throughout your training in a positive and busy nursery environment. 


You will be working in our baby room (0–2 years) alongside an experienced team, gaining the knowledge and experience needed to complete your Level 3 qualification. You will use the EYFS framework to plan activities tailored to a small group of key children, while working closely with parents to build strong, positive relationships with children, staff, and families.


What are the Apprentice's responsibilities? 



  • Support the daily care routines of babies, including feeding, nappy changing, toileting, and sleep times

  • Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework

  • Observe, monitor, and record children’s development and progress

  • Act as a key person to a small group of children, building secure and positive relationships

  • Work closely with parents and carers, sharing information about their child’s day and development

  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures

  • Support children’s emotional wellbeing and help them to settle into the setting

  • Work as part of a team, taking direction from senior staff while developing professional skills

  • Attend training sessions and complete coursework towards the Level 3 qualification
