  • Working Week: Monday to Friday with 4-hours weekend work on a rota basis. Start and end time of working day: 6am to 3pm in Summer. 7am to 2.30pm in Winter, total number of paid hours a week: 45-hours per week in Summer, 35-hour per week in Winter.

Training to be Provided

Training for the Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper Apprenticeship will take place directly in the workplace, allowing the apprentice to learn hands‑on alongside the greenkeeping team. In addition, day‑to‑day practical learning, the apprentice will receive monthly training sessions with a dedicated Trainer Coach, who will visit the site to deliver structured off‑the‑job training, review progress, and support their development throughout the programme.

The apprentice will be given the opportunity to grow within the business, our vision is to grow our own qualified staff, and the apprenticeship scheme is one method of achieving this goal.


During the apprenticeship scheme, the apprentice will work with a qualified member of staff and be provided the support and guidance required to progress within the company on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Vacancy Detail

Turfgrass Agronomy & Services are looking for a motivated individual to join our team of five as a Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper Apprentice. This is a hands‑on opportunity to learn how to prepare and maintain high‑quality playing surfaces while working alongside experienced professionals.


What You’ll Be Doing:


As part of your day‑to‑day apprenticeship training, you will learn and be involved in:



  • Daily course set‑up to ensure the course is ready for play

  • Mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough using both pedestrian and ride‑on mowers

  • Strimming and edging around course features

  • Raking and maintaining bunkers

  • Blowing and clearing debris to keep the course tidy and safe

  • General turf care and presentation tasks aligned with the Level 2 standard

You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by:



  • Experienced Greenkeepers who will guide your daily training

  • The Course Manager and Deputy Course Manager, who will oversee your development

  • A supportive team environment focused on building your skills and confidence

Other Information

The applying candidate MUST consider that the role is physically demanding, throughout all variances of weather. Other aspects of the work include early starts, able to cope with regular physical work


Must be willing to work outside in all weathers.
