Brief Description
Working in a busy environment, a rewarding and varied role, and an opportunity to be part of a great team. You will work in a rewarding role within a fast-paced office environment, undertake the Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship, become a key member of the team, and commence a career in Payroll. The role is located within a payroll bureau.
Training to be Provided
Payroll administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
A 100% tailored training and assessment program will be delivered to support you throughout your apprenticeship (21 months including endpoint assessment). Topics covered include:
- Business and Customer Awareness
- Payroll Core
- Pensions
- Technical Payroll
- Regulations and Compliance
- Systems and Processes
- Planning and Prioritisation
- Analysis skills
- Using Systems and Processes
- Producing Quality and Accurate Information and Reports
- You may need to complete level 2 maths and English Functional skills (if you cannot evidence prior grades)
Future Prospects
- The opportunity to progress to a higher apprenticeship may be available
- We are looking to develop an apprentice, with a view to offering a permanent position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme
Vacancy Detail
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work.
Duties include:
- Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual payroll
- All payroll data entry tasks
- Dealing with payroll queries
- Calculating SMP, SSP, Tax & NI
- Producing payroll reports
- Documenting starters, leavers and holiday records
- Answering telephone calls with clients
- Creation of documents
- Supporting other staff with their administration tasks
