Brief Description
Kent Performance Cam's have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Operative's level 2 apprentice to join their team, based in Folkestone.
Training to be Provided
- Engineering Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification
- Maths/English at Functional Skills level 2, if required
- 1 day per week at college, term time only
Future Prospects
- Possible full-time position upon completion of the apprenticeship
Vacancy Detail
Whilst working with a skilled machinist, training will be provided to include:
- Carrying out light machining duties including the use of cylindrical, surface and centreless grinding machines
- Carrying out light machining duties to include the use of manual lathes, milling machines and various small machine shop process operations
- Accessing information such as component drawings and technical data
- Using mechanical and electrical measuring equipment
- Inspecting and QC reporting
- Contributing to a safe working environment, by adhering to Health and Safety processes including abrasive wheel regulations and manual lifting training
