Brief Description
Jamestan Engineering have partnered with The Engineering Trust to offer an apprenticeship opportunity, the successful applicant will receive training to operate; set and program CNC mills and lathes and other workshop machinery.
Training to be Provided
Qualifications included:
- Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard. Company Training Plan & Assessment.
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge (1 day per week for 2 years at college)
Development Competence Qualification (workplace). - Level 2 Functional Skills - Maths (If required).
- Level 2 Functional Skills - English (If required).
- End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship.
Future Prospects
- The successful applicant will be offered a position within the engineering team at Jamestan following a successful apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
- The apprenticeship will involve 4 days in the workplace and 1 day at college.
- During your time in the workplace, you will work with our engineers to learn the skills required to operate production machinery. As you progress, you will be tasked to program, manufacture and measure parts to drawing specifications.
Other Information
- The apprenticeship requires the write-up of tasks conducted at the workplace to submit for evidence for the apprenticeship qualification. The candidate needs to be self-motivated to keep on top of this work.
- 1 day a week at college.
