Working Week: Level 2 Equine Groom= 12-15 months. Level 3 Senior Equine Groom= 15-18 months. Rota of 5 days p/week including every other weekend, 7.00am - 4.00pm.
Brief Description
Tweenhills are looking for a confident breeding apprentice to grow and develop within their team. Located in Hartpury GL19 and over 200 horses, this really is the best place to launch your career in breeding race horses.
Training to be Provided
- All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours
- Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
Future Prospects
- Progression to the Level 3 Senior Groom apprenticeship
- Possibility of full time employment for the right candidate
Vacancy Detail
The position is for a confident Level 2 OR 3 apprentice looking to progress their career in the stud industry and develop their knowledge and understanding of running a stud of race horses.
The role involves:
- Leading and handling foals, youngstock, broodmares and stallions
- Supporting vet and farrier visits
General yard duties, including but not limited to:
- Turning out, bringing in
- Grooming
- Tacking up
- Stable and field maintenance
Please note, this is a breeding pathway, not a riding pathway.
