Brief Description

Genus Logistics are recruiting for an Apprenticeship to develop towards becoming an International Freight Forwarder, whose overall aim is to manage or support our Customers’ logistics by arranging the movement of Freight. This can include Exporting and Importing Goods across the World.

Training to be Provided

International Freight Forwarding Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:



  • On the job training delivered by the employer

  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeships English and Mathematics minimum requirement is Entry Level 3

  • Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out regular training

  • Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge skills and behaviours to progress and develop

  • Identify, track and support 6 hours off the job training activities.
    Quarterly formal progress review meetings, identifying learning achievements and next steps

As an Apprentice Freight Forwarder, you'll play a crucial role in keeping goods moving efficiently across the UK and Europe.


Your training will cover:



  • Planning and coordinating time-critical transport across road, air, and sea

  • Learning the customs process to ensure smooth international shipments

  • Providing accurate quotes and ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs)

  • Monitoring shipments and keeping clients updated at every stage

  • Supporting emergency and sensitive logistics solutions

Other Information

Must be based within a commutable distance of Coventry. Previous customer service experience is a plus. It is an ideal opportunity for someone who has just completed A levels but has decided against going to University.
