Brief Description

Looking to work with Children? Looking for a rewarding career in social Care? If yes, then this could be the apprenticeship for you! This is a work-based apprenticeship and requires you to be successful in an application for a full-time/part-time role with Forge Care to be eligible for the apprenticeship.

Training to be Provided


  • As part of the role, you will receive a wide range of training including Safeguarding, CSE, First Aid, PACE, PRICE, Mental Health Awareness, Missing from Care, Understanding Autism and many more!

  • The qualification all our care staff do is the Level 4 – Children, Young People & Families Practitioner. This is a work-based qualification and is done alongside full-time/part-time employment with Forge Care

Future Prospects


  • Being successful in your application means that you will be offered a permanent role at Forge Care and will start your career in Social Care

  • You will complete the highly desirable qualification Level 4- Children Young People & Families Practitioner, alongside your employment

  • Once completed, you will be not only qualified but experienced and in a good place to progress to a senior care worker position or have a good base to move into different types of roles within the sector

Vacancy Detail


  • This apprenticeship involves working with complex children in the care system. Supporting them on a daily basis by meeting their needs and supporting their emotional needs

  • The role is in a residential setting and staff complete shift work and complete sleep-ins in the home

  • This role is a great way into social care and involves a wide range of multi-agencies working through the social care sector
