Other Information
Marmora Care Home is a very busy home and there will be times throughout the day where you may be standing for long periods of time.
Due to specialising in Dementia care, residents living at Marmora will sometimes experience behaviours that may be challenging to others. The successful candidate will be fully trained and supported with effective management of this, but this may be daunting in the first instance for someone that has not had any experience of these types of behaviours before.
Marmora Care Home is also a palliative care home and supports individuals at the end of their lives. Staff have full training on this but some can find this initially quite overwhelming and upsetting. On-going emotional support is provided to all staff members employed at Marmora Care Home.
As the apprentice becomes more confident and knowledgeable within their role, they will be expected to work weekend shifts and occasionally change their normal shift patterns in order to cover staff absences and in order to support the service where required.
