Brief Description

This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised HR qualification. A 36-month programme accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), to foster the growth of dynamic HR professionals.

Vacancy Detail

The HR Apprentice will support the delivery of a high quality and effective Human Resources service across Verisk Specialty Business Solutions (VSBS). Working closely with the HR Business Partners and other HR teams across the organisation, the role will provide administrative and operational support across all areas of the employee lifecycle.



  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team

  • Respond to queries from managers and employees in a timely manner, signposting them to the appropriate contact, policies or procedures

  • Preparation of a variety of HR documentation

  • Support the production of regular HR reporting

  • Assist in analysing HR data to support decision making within the HR team

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems and processes

  • Support initiatives and participate in activities across HR teams including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Compensation

  • Any other duties commensurate of the role

Other Information


  • Must be 18 years of age or over at the start of the apprenticeship (due to insurance purposes)

  • No prior HR or business qualification is required - full training and support will be provided

  • A GCSE in Business Studies or similar subject would be an advantage

  • A keen interest in developing a career in Human Resources and a willingness to learn

  • Competent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication, organisational skills, confidentiality and attention to detail
