Brief Description
This role is for a warehouse apprentice to work within a busy small team picking and assembling orders, stocking the shop, receiving goods in and maintaining accurate stock records.
Future Prospects
For the right candidate, there would be the opportunity of a permanent position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
- Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when certified
- Managing stock levels through accurate stocking, picking, and packing of items
- Handling materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assisting with shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Maintaining organisation within the warehouse, including cleaning and tidying work areas
- Performing basic mechanical tasks related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting when necessary
- Supporting construction or refurbishment projects within the warehouse environment as required
- Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with inventory audits

- Ability to peform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- May be prolonged periods of standing and manual handling tasks
