Working Week: Monday-Thursday 8.30am to 5pm. Friday – 8.30am to 4.30pm, with 30 mins lunch.
Brief Description
We are opening an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and professional team. The start date is flexible.
You will be assisting with sales, dealing with queries and orders. If you would like to work alongside a dedicated team and be part of a forward-thinking business, we would love to hear from you.
Training to be Provided
Duration:
- 15-month practical training period, plus 3-months for End Point Assessment.
Delivery model:
- Work-based training with your employer.
- 10 days Business Professionals training at college.
- Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year.
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required).
- Off-the-job training will account for at least 6 hours per week of an apprentice’s time at work.
Qualifications included:
- Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.
End Point Assessment:
- Knowledge test.
- Portfolio-based interview.
- Project/improvement presentation.
Future Prospects
A full-time permanent position will be available at the end of the apprenticeship. We strongly believe in investing in and bringing the best in our people. Completing the business administration apprenticeship in this role may be a gateway to potential progression into another role, dependent on skills/preferences.
Vacancy Detail
- Answer telephone calls and deal with queries from distributors and customers.
- Manage incoming enquiries and process orders.
- Assist with planning and creating purchase orders with UK and foreign suppliers.
- Sending literature when required.
- Ad hoc duties to assist the wider business support team.
Other Information
You will need to pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Any new person applying for apprenticeship roles where Abingdon and Witney College deliver the training will be required to complete a series of initial assessments, essential eligibility checks and a phone interview to find out more about the apprenticeship process and training. The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £7.55 per hour from April 2025. This applies to 16 - 18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over during the first year of their apprenticeship. After this, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent.
