Brief Description
As a Resource Sustainability Apprentice, your work will focus on environmental compliance, waste resource management and sustainability with an operational focus. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, completing a degree apprenticeship at the Stellantis Manufacturing Site in Ellesmere Port.
Training to be Provided
You will complete your degree with Keele University. On occasion, you will have to attend Keele University for a block week of study. All other learning will consist of remote learning and independent assessments.
Future Prospects
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be able to utilise your skills and experience to progress into an environmental role, developing environmental and sustainability strategies and providing advice and guidance to all levels of a business.
Vacancy Detail
- Support projects in sustainability performance, waste management, and environmental regulatory compliance
- Manage and influence stakeholder relationships
- Write reports and present on outcomes
- Ensure the Plant complies with all applicable environmental legislation with a focus on waste and resource management and the company's corporate requirements, including the development and maintenance of environmental monitoring and reporting programmes, in line with the Plant’s environmental permits
- Support the Plant’s Environmental Management System (EMS) to maintain ISO 14001 certification
- Lead and conduct audits to evaluate compliance with applicable requirements, including environmental performance criteria and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Manage the development and implementation of key environmental procedures and programmes
- Liaise with business units and staff at all levels and provide technical support and advice with a key focus on waste and resource management
- Develop and manage the Plant’s sustainability strategy, driving environmental improvements and implementing best practices
