Working Week: The apprentice will be required to work 2 mornings a week ( one of which must be Saturday) and 2 afternoons. Shifts to be confirmed.
Brief Description
We have a mixed farm which includes dairy cows, milked by 3 robots, beef, sheep and arable crops. If you are interested in getting a wide range of experience and aim to be the best then this could be the job for you.
Future Prospects
- Once sufficient skill and experience has been gained going into full time employment or a college course or working abroad are all options
Vacancy Detail
- Clean and maintain the milking robots
- Clean out, bed up and feed young stock
- Help move electric fence around sheep and move them into new pasture
- Help with the evening routine, feeding new born calves or bedding up cows
- Tasks will change regularly depending on the time of year
- We calve all year round but lambing takes place in the autumn and there is lots of tractor work in the Spring and Autumn
