Brief Description
Tender Care Services are looking for a new adult care Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Adult care worker (level 2) Apprenticeship.

Upon completion of this 12 Month Apprenticeship, you will have obtained your Adult care worker (level 2) Apprenticeship.
Future Prospects
There is a possibility of being offered a full-time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Vacancy Detail
Purpose of Position To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of clients in a way that maintains and respects their dignity and promotes their independence. Care provided by care assistants is expected to include care that would reasonably be given by members of the client's family. Our care does not include tasks expected to be undertaken by a trained nurse.
Principal Responsibilities:
- To assist our clients who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, showering, bathing, oral hygiene and the toilet
- To help clients with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence and help in use and care of aids and personal equipment
- To care for clients who are temporarily sick and needing
- To help care for clients who are dying
- To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of clients through talking to them
- To make and change beds; tidy rooms; do light cleaning and empty and clean commodes
- To set tables and trays; serve meals; feed clients who need help; prepare light meals and wash up; tidy and clear the dining room
- To read and write reports and take part in staff and client meetings and in training activities as directed
- If required, to assist or administer prescribed medication and creams
- To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required
- To comply with the agency's guidelines and policies at all times
- To report to the agency manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client
- To encourage our clients to remain as independent as possible
