Working Week: Monday - Friday, 42 hours per week. Shift hours to be confirmed.
Brief Description
Within this job role, you will be working alongside highly qualified practitioners offering a truly unique childcare service. You will be given a mentor who will dedicate their time to developing your skills with regards to following policy and procedure, tracking children’s learning and development and ensuring outcomes for all children.
Training to be Provided
L3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator.

- Once competent/confident (DBS checked) carry out the personal care of children and complete observations and assessments
- To communicate sensitively and professionally with parents/carers and children at all times, and follow instructions from your supervisor/manager
- To ensure that families and children from all social and cultural groups feel valued and secure
- To implement the Equality and Diversity policy by ensuring learning experiences are diverse to meet the needs of individual children and that play materials and play situations available to the children embrace diversity
- To ensure that the room is safe at all times and the Health and Safety Policy is implemented
- To make the nursery welcoming and inclusive for all children and parents/carers
- To ensure that all accidents and incidents are recorded and be aware of the First Aid procedure used in the Nursery
- To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children
Other Information
You will be expected to be flexible with the working hours to ensure ratios are maintained. During the year you will be expected to participate in additional events outside of the normal working hours, for example, parent’s evening and open days.
There is a degree of lifting and carrying that you will need to be able to carry out.
This nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required undertake an enhanced DBS.
