Brief Description
Ash & Lacy are seeking an Apprentice to work alongside their toolmakers. In this role, you will learn how to service, make, build, troubleshoot and repair precision machine tools, jigs and fixtures to introduce new products and keep existing products in production.
Training to be Provided
- This is a Level 3 Tooling apprenticeship, delivered over a 32 month period
The apprentice will attend the training centre In-Comm Aldridge WS9 8UG for the first 7 months
Future Prospects
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be a full-time position available at the company
Vacancy Detail
Daily/Weekly Tasks:
- Machining, servicing, building and modifying a variety of precision tools jigs and fixtures
- Carrying out planned maintenance department improvements including 5s activities (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain)
- Communicating and reporting to senior toolmakers and department managers to support the departments function including purchasing and receipting materials, BO Parts and ongoing consumables
