Training to be Provided
You will work within a successful Customs Team while learning everything you need to know to be a top performer whilst supported by your peers, your managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.
Future Prospects
Beyond this, there is an opportunity for successful apprentices to secure a full-time customs position, as well as achieving bonuses and pay rises connected to the apprenticeship programme.
Vacancy Detail
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Road Logistics Customs team in Kegworth. The Road Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel provide hundreds of customers with the services to move their goods across Europe. The sales team work directly to source, engage and maintain the customer base, ensuring that customer shipments are booked in efficiently and delivered on time. Working with a diverse customer base – you could find yourself shipping canoes to Croatia or shoes to Slovakia. Every day is different!

Over the two years you’ll be learning how to:
- Develop an understanding of international trade and customs procedures
- Gain knowledge of import and export processes and documentation requirements
- Understand HMRC regulations and international trade compliance standards
- Build confidence in identifying and resolving discrepancies in documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training sessions
- Understand escalation processes for compliance or operational issues
- Gain exposure to career pathways within customs and international trade
