Brief Description
North Somercotes CE Primary School are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our reception team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education and eager to begin a career in a primary school setting.
Training to be Provided
Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
- Functional Skills maths if required
- Functional Skills English if required
The training will take place within the workplace over the duration of the apprenticeship

- As an Apprentice TA, you will support the Class Teacher in creating a warm, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where our youngest pupils can thrive
- You will help with day‑to‑day classroom activities, support children’s early development in literacy and numeracy, and assist with setting up learning areas and resources
- You will also play a key role in encouraging positive behaviour, promoting independence, and supporting the well-being and progress of all pupils

Due to the location of the school, the candidate must be able to make sure that they are able to get to and from the apprenticeship location easily.
