Brief Description
This apprenticeship at Drapers House Nursery offers the opportunity to begin a rewarding career in early years within a nurturing, nature‑inspired setting. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to support childrens learning, development, and emotional wellbeing, while gaining hands‑on training and a recognised qualification.
Future Prospects
On successful completion of this Early Years apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to continue training and development, including progressing to a higher‑level Early Years qualification. With experience, apprentices can move into roles such as Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or eventually Early Years Educator or Management roles.
This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a long‑term career in early years, supporting professional growth while gaining valuable hands‑on experience in a nurturing, values‑led setting.
Vacancy Detail
- Support children with play, learning, and daily routines in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Work alongside experienced practitioners to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
- Help plan and set up engaging activities, including outdoor and nature‑based learning
- Observe children’s development and contribute to records and learning journeys
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing, encouraging confidence, independence, and resilience
- Assist with personal care routines such as mealtimes, toileting, and rest times
- Promote positive behaviour and model kind, respectful interactions
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming learning environment
- Communicate positively with colleagues and build strong relationships with children
Other Information
- All applicants will be required to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Applicants must be willing to undertake safeguarding training and follow all nursery safeguarding and child protection policies
- A commitment to promoting the safety, wellbeing, and welfare of children at all times is essential
- Applicants must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team in a busy nursery environment
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and respect for confidentiality are required
