Working Week: Monday - Thursday 8am to 4.30pm. Friday 8am to 1pm.
Brief Description
Training to be a Valve Assembly and Test engineer, would also encompass inspection, stores, design and sales.
Training to be Provided
Level 3 Engineering Fitter Standard BPC Grow for Apprentices programme The apprentice will be required to attend college 1 day a week.
Future Prospects
Progression to full-time employment.
Progression to a higher level apprenticeship/further training.
Vacancy Detail
Assembling and testing valves, reading drawings, LOP's (list of parts), BOM's (bill of materials), picking parts in stores, learning to inspect parts and becoming aware of health & safety in the workplace.
Other Information
Manual dexterity is required, some long periods of standing, and often lifting heavy equipment (manual handling training is given).
Candidates will also have to apply to the Bournemouth and Poole College and attend an academic interview and information session as part of the on-boarding process.
