Working Week: Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 4.00pm and Friday, 8.00am - 12.30pm. Please note, these hours are during your first year with Seta. They may change once you move into the workplace.
Brief Description
As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in maintenance, fault-finding and condition monitoring while supporting efficient plant operations. Apply to build skills, gain a qualification and start an engineering career.
Training to be Provided
- Your first year will be spent at Seta in Washington
- Your second year will be spent 4 days in the workplace with Spartan and 1 day with Seta on day release
- Your final 2 years will be spent full time with the employer, with regular reviews with a Seta apprenticeship manager and your employer
Future Prospects
- The expectation is that the successful candidate will progress into a fully qualified maintenance technician role following completion of the apprenticeship
Vacancy Detail
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Learning and applying condition monitoring methods and techniques
- Understanding how maintenance data supports planning and efficiency
- Assisting in minimising machinery downtime through preventative maintenance
- Carrying out planned maintenance and condition monitoring on plant equipment
- Developing fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Completing all college assignments to a high standard and on time
- Participating in in-house training as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Adhering to company quality standards and procedures
- Following all company policies and health & safety requirements
- Supporting additional operational needs, including shift work or weekend hours when required
- Carrying out any other duties appropriate to the role as directed by management
